Recordation
Recordation fee is US $25. Sign up via our on-line recordation form below. Recordation Eligibility Registered Stallions and Mares of Purebred, or Warmblood breeding can be "recorded" and will be given a number to be entered into the stud book for future use. Recordation of a horse means that the pedigree has been documented and entered into the Sportbred Studbook, and a number is then assigned to that horse to track the horse and any future offspring. A certificate is issued and horse is eligible for inspection to further secure its validity and breeding worth. Recordation is not registration.
Stallions and Mares of "other" breeding, or with less than 1/8 Saddlebred breeding can be "recorded" and will be given a number to be entered into the stud book for future use. Pure, yet unregistered, crossbred, or grade horses can take advantage of our recordation system and inspection process for future breeding of Sportbred horses. This is an attractive way to validate your horses "quality" and enables a undocumented animal to be fairly evaluated and approved for future breeding and inclusion into a new studbook.
Recorded Horses: Are issued a provisional number for tracking future offspring. Are eligible for inspection and full breeding approval. Are eligible for year end award program.
