North American Sportbred Registry

What is a "Sportbred"?

To start, a Sportbred is simply this: A newly established North American Breed of horse being bred for sport using American Saddlebreds as the foundation stock for development and formation of this beautiful new sporthorse breed.

The name "Sportbred" evolved from the term "sporthorse". Generally speaking a sporthorse is a horse that regardless of breed is deemed, based on its physical characteristics or its demonstrated aptitude, to be able to perform in the areas of Dressage, Jumping, Hunter, Eventing, and driving.

We are currently seeking photos of Sportbred eligible horses to add throughout the Sportbred website. If you have a photo you would like to submit for use consideration, please e-mail to: NASportbred@aol.com Photo must be free for use on the web. Photo credit will be given if needed.
